CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE

It’s only two weeks until Christmas, the time when we get together with our families and close ones and have the cosiest time of the year. Good food, fun games, all the old Christmas songs, baking, movies and gifts :) I love to think of nice presents to get but it can also be quite tricky. Here are some tips if you’re still out there looking for some nice gifts!

For your mum, sister or best friend – A piece of jewellery or a watch will always work and something I always like the most. It’s a piece that you keep and have on you all the time and makes you think of the person every time you see it. This watch, necklace and bracelet are all from SKAGEN and are very timeless and sophisticated, something that fits most people. The watch is beautiful with dark blue mesh band, while the necklace and bracelet are more statement pieces. See more of SKAGEN’s gift guide here for other Christmas gifts :)

For the women in your life – Another perfect gift is a nice perfume. Some girls already have their everyday-perfume and keep on using the same one, but for the more “adventurous” ones who like to try a new thing, a perfume is the perfect thing! I love this one called Signorina Misteriosa from Ferragamo, I already wrote about it in this post, but it has a wonderful scent, mysterious and sweet at the same time. Other favourites are Black Opium from YSL and Chloé Eau de Parfum, never met anyone who didn’t like the Chloé!

For your fashionable girl – What is better than a pair of real killer-heels for New Years? I know, getting a pair of shoes for someone is trickier, but I love these ones from The Kooples Moonlight collection, they have them in other colours as well. Rock on!

For your dad, brother, boyfriend or friend – The hardest gifts are for the guys, in my opinion. I never know what to get them. These new products from Isana from Rossmann are fun and great gifts for the man with beard. It’s something a bit more unexpected and fun than normal beauty products. These are pomades, beard shampoo, conditioner, beard oil and shave gel!

For the music lover – Wireless headphones can never go wrong. I like these ones from Skullcandy because they are simple, black and has great sound for a good price.

For the beauty girl – This is one of my favourite beauty products, it’s a shimmery-golden oil which you spray on your body and get an amazing shine. You can also use it on your face for highlights and even on the hair for some glam and softness. Their shimmery one is my favourite for summer but they also have the same oil but without the golden shimmer, which is good for winter or when you don’t want to sparkle so much. The scent of this oil is incredible, so luckily they have it in perfume as well!

Apart from all these gifts there are so many other things you can get or make yourself, in the end it is the thought that matters so anything you find is worth so so much.

Examples of home-made things:

For your family – Make a little photo book with your favourite photos together. Since we never really print our photos anymore like the old days, we don’t keep photo albums anymore. I think it is so sad because I love to look through old photos from the past but since 10 years there are none. So making a little photo album which you can personalise with stickers, text etc etc, is something I’m sure they will love and something they will look at again in 10 years and really appreciate.

For your friend – Design your own cups. I found this on pinterest the other day and loved it, see the blogpost tutorial here. You just need some simple cups that you can get cheap in IKEA, nail polish and water and you can create beautiful and unique cups. I haven’t tried it yet, but have already decided to do it with my sister these cozy Christmas days.

For your boyfriend – Get him an experience. It can be a little trip to another city, a night in a hotel to get away from normal day life, a blind dinner (when you eat in complete darkness) or why not paintball?

Oh I can’t wait for Christmas!

Lots of love xx Mikuta
