Hello and happy 1st of May! Wow, can’t believe it is May already, where did the time go? Anyways, its better this way cause I don’t like winter, too cold, specially here in Berlin. Now summer is close and the best times are ahead!

This weekend Klemens went to Barcelona for a shooting so I took the time to organise and clean the apartment, he is the organised one and I am the more messy one, so I thought it would be fair for me to fix the mess and now the apartment is like new, all my clothes are hung up, drawers are half empty and its just a new fresh start! I also decided, since I call myself a blogger but hardly blog (only upload pics on Instagram), I will during the month of May upload one blogpost per day! It will be a challenge, but I’ve made a plan, plus this month will be full of travelling and fun stuff so it will probably not be a problem :)

To start with this one-post-a-day project I thought to start with showing you guys the new fragrance I’m wearing, Santal 33 from Le Labo.

As many of you, I guess, I also love perfumes. I don’t go any day without spraying a nice scent on me and I can’t pass by a perfumerie without trying at least 7 different fragrances. Yet I’ve only found two perfumes that I like, those are Hugo Boss Deep red and Chloe by Chloe, but so many people are using it, which I understand cause they are amazing… but I was still searching for something different. Anyways, I find it hard to find a perfume because they are mostly too sweet, I can’t stand it. (Also I just want to note that I am not a perfume expert, I don’t know the differences between the names and how to describe them, but I hope you understand what I mean).

A while ago I got this Le Labo perfume called Santal 33. At first I was a bit chocked by the scent, it was completely different from what I have ever sniffed before. It has 33 ingredients, thats how it got its name, and the most dominant notes are Australian sandalwood, cedarwood, cardamom, iris, violet, ambrox and leather accord. As you can imagine, it is not very sweet and has a very dry and woody scent. But I like it! It stays on forever and it is also unisex, which is great. I always use men’s deodorant so this is perfect for me :)

When I got this perfume I had to do some research and see what all this is about. It is founded in New York, the packaging and design is amazing, it is formulated-to-order which means that the essential oils and alcohol aren’t mixed until you order it, it comes with your name on it, or a little message, however you prefer but up to 23 characters, every perfume is mixed by famous perfume artists (the Santal 33 by Frank Voelk), the materials are raw, handpicked and everything is made in their own lab, which also explains its high price.

I definitely think it is worth it though, after reading a lot online, on their own website, their philosophy, ideas and of course after my own experience with Le Labo, I feel like their perfumes are made with a lot of love and they are specialists in just this, giving you something more special and different ;)

One tip though, if you’re thinking of trying Le Labo, you should definitely try their samples first and preferably a whole day before buying, as other perfumes they can change a bit with some hours or change with the environment.

This is a friendly collaboration with Le Labo and all thoughts are my own :)

Have a wonderful 1st of may loves! xx Mikuta
