MIKUTA IS EXPANDING

Hello loves, I hope you’re amazing! Last week I made a big announcement on my IG but I still didn’t post anything here, so I thought it’s time! If you missed our video last week on my stories you can see it here if you scroll down :)

Anyways, the news is that the Mikuta brand is expanding, we are not only doing our beloved jewellery anymore, we are also doing clothes, yey! It has been a dream for so long and in the beginning of this year we got the opportunity to do it and it’s been so exciting the last few months exploring the possibilities, learning the whole process about development and production and even thought we’ve had some up and downs (like in most projects) it’s been incredibly fun and I’m so excited to see where this is going!

So we started this in April already and since then we’ve worked a lot on the brand concept, coming up with the first mini collection, the design process and the production. We produce everything in Portugal, where we went to visit in September to understand how it works, get to know the partners, learn the process and going through the details of the collection. Our pieces are made of 100% BCI cotton (Better Cotton Initiative) to ensure the sustainability of the cotton farms and production on our beautiful planet.

We start with two different pieces, pieces that you can wear together or separate, both very casual and oversized which I absolutely love. We worked a lot on the fit, colors and textures to create the perfect pieces (at least for me) and to give them a special and unique touch! I don’t want to tell you too much right now because I still want to keep it a little bit of a secret…but both pieces + all the jewellery will finally be launching together with a new website on the 8th of December at 7pm CET, you can already sign up on the Mikuta shop to not miss it! <3

We finally got the final samples after a lot of corrections to get the best possible result and I love them so much that I’ve been wearing them everyday! At this time we are in production, launch date is set and we are working on website and getting all the photos done in time…so exciting days ahead! <3
