Hello loves, I hope you are well <3 This Christmas holidays I had a knitting project with my mum, we did knitted sweaters to our dogs and one big sweater each to ourselves. We didn’t manage to finish everything but I was really committed to finishing this pink knit and spent most evenings knitting, which was super cozy!
This is my second sweater I knitted, I did my first one some years ago, also during Christmas with my mum, and it turned out quite funny, see here or at the end of post. It was very cozy though, but I miscalculated a bit with the sleeves, haha! This time I free-styled again but managed to keep it more fitted :P
I really want to learn how to knit from start to finish, I still haven’t really figured it all out and needed some help here and there! And I didn’t manage to sew it together perfectly, but who cares! I love it <3 I’m very happy with it and it reminds me of our cozy Christmas days <3 And match perfectly with my new fluffy slippers from Zara.
One of my New Years resolutions was to try to do something creative each month, which isn’t taking photos or building in the apartment. More like knitting, painting, pottery or any other fun activity to do by hand. I used to paint and write a lot when I was younger but stopped when we started with the blog, and I really miss it. So will definitely try to keep that up! Last year I really wanted to paint more mugs, make candles and make a rug(!?) but didn’t do any of them. The rug idea was maybe a little too big of a commitment haha, but I did a lot of research and doesn’t seem toooo hard! Well well, we’ll see about this year, what comes out!
Have a wonderful rest of the day! Lots of love xx Mikuta
My first and funny knit sweater.
