PHOTO TIME WITH OLYMPUS E-M10 MARK II

Hello loves! Yesterday Klemens and I had a fun day trying out new Olympus cameras, it was so much fun! I was shooting with the Olympus E-M10 Mark II from FOTO MEYER while Klemens was shooting with another camera which you can read about in his own blogpost here. The Olympus E-M10 Mark II is a mirrorless camera with a 16 megapixel four-thirds CMOS sensor. It comes with the kit lens 14-42mm II but I also shot with the 45mm/ 1.8. The lenses are very different since the 14-42mm lens is a zoom lens which is good for a day out when you want to be able to shoot different things without having the change the lens. The lowest f-stop on this is 3.5 which makes the background a bit sharper than when you shoot with a lower f-stop which the 45mm/1.8 has. The 45mm lens is my favourite because I love all the blurriness you get in the background, but it is quite narrow so better for portraits or close ups. The best would be to have the combination of both so you can always get the effect that you want.

Tomorrow and the day after (16th and 17th of December) FOTO MEYER in BERLIN has a great offer where you can buy the E-M10 Mark II + 14-42mm II for 499 € instead of 699 € and you will get a 50 € lens voucher on top for e.g. the 45mm/1.8 lens. Only the lens-voucher is valid until the 31st of December 2016.

Below I put some photos taken with the camera and the different lenses.

The size of the camera is perfect, it fits in your handbag but it also looks very nice, I love the silver colour and design, a bit retro, they also have it in black. Apart from it looking good, let’s talk about some of its specifications.

It has a built in flash, a digital LCD viewfinder and a tilt-able LCD touchscreen and has a good image stabilisation. It also shoots 8 frames per seconds in burst mode. My favourite thing is that it has Wifi which lets you transfer the files to the smartphones directly without using the computer. Makes everything so much easier!

This camera is aimed for people who are interested in good quality photography and who appreciate taking over control themselves shooting in manual modes. The camera also offers automatic mode for easy use but if you want to go further it offers very professional features like viewfinder and direct controls. But of course everyone can learn which makes this the perfect little camera to bring with you every where you go!

Happy shooting! Lots of love xx Mikuta

Are all the shots 100% taken with the Olympus cameras and lenses you had? Only some of them are labelled is why I ask and there are some great shots that I wonder if were shot with the 45mm 1.8
